Objectifs: 
The new labels "Sciences Avec et Pour la Société / Science With and For Society" in 2021, in France, put the issues of engaging society in the frontline. If the concept of "science mediation" is largely used in France, it is useful to: - Understand the vocabulary of science mediation: popularization, mediation, scientific culture, etc. - Undestand the historical context, in France, of the different trends of science mediation - Understand the economical, political, and work issues of the science mediation. - Discover some practices of science mediation. This conference is organized by the Urfist de Bordeaux and the project SAPS of the Université de Bordeaux.
